We prospected over some old (1890s ) quartz tailings, my partner was using
a ML 4500, I had the Tesoro Diablo Umax. Results were I got faint signals
in the quartz boulders that the 4500 did not, end result was enough gold to
buy a new 4x4!! Tesoro you should make this super detector again.

Tesoro Diablo Umax

This detector has allowed me to go where other VLF machines can't, very
mineralized ground. It has found gold nuggets and specimens in areas that have been hit hard with pulse induction detectors for years.
Have been able to use it balanced for hot rocks on ground that will send other units crazy!
It's so stable and easy to use even when EMI is stopping those expensive gold machines in their tracks.
Would I sell it ? NEVER :)
If you ever get the rare chance to buy one, Grab it quick.
Wonderful Fantastic Detector.

Who Could Want Anything More?

Here's a machine that's great on gold nuggets, can tell hot rocks from good
signals, is a killer on coins & rings (DEEP), is very light weight and easy
to use, is backed by Tesoro's awesome warranty even if purchased used, has
good extra coil options, and pinpoints targets so well you don't even need
a pinpointer!

Diablo lightweight power house

Diablo Umax is a very simple yet impressive gold hunting machine. Super
light weight and simple to setup and use. Considering it's small size I
couldn't believe the abilities of the detector to find gold. It has a
pretty rough audio response compared to other detectors. However, once you
learn the audio sounds you can determine what hot rocks sound like and id
some iron trash. I found a few half gram nuggets in a drywasher pile at
impressive depth. With the stock 10" coil it is hot on small nuggets. I
wish I would have kept it, if you find one for sale for good price buy it.
Five Stars for sure.
