Xj9 with larger spider coil

July 04, 2013
I have been MDing for 18 months, this was my first detector. This is a turn on and go machine but it has some quirks, the sensitivity has to be turned down or it will pick up the earths core and everything in between, it can be very deep and sensitive to the point of instability.

First start off with sense and disc about half way and off you go, to learn those sounds you have to practice with known coins or objects, this is very important or you will easily get confused, once learned this is a very good machine with good discrimination and deep! I find the batteries last 3 or 4 days of detecting, it is quite light and robust but learn the sounds!

I have had this metal detector 5 years now, it was my first detector, it is a little hard to learn to use but it works very good and for a beginner and something cheap, well worth it.
It is easy to find coins, jewelry, PULL TABS, and it will go deep,
and it is lite weighted, easy to swing.
If it had a bigger coil on it, i thank it would be even better.
