Most helpful review for Minelab GPX 4800Fantastic gold Detector
I have found the Minelab GPX 4800 to be a very powerful and user friendly detector. During my first look into the operators manual I was worried that it would be way to complicated to use.
However I found that it is pretty much fool proof and that's saying a lot coming from me. This detector has worked in every type of ground that I have ran it over, it even runs quiet in areas that my other detector would have gave me a headache in.
I have managed to find gold with the GPX 4800, but it has a long way to go before it even comes close to paying for its self. The Battery lasts all day and has yet to let me down. The only real downfall is being attached to a harness, but I was aware of that before the purchase with that said I would not hesitate buying another one.
If its power you need to punch down this machine will do the job.

One of the best performing detectors for finding gold. I have used every model of minelab detectors and find that this is one of the best. It has more features than the previous models including digital control. If you get confused with the setting up it can be set back to factory settings by holding the power switch on for 5 seconds. I upgrade these detectors for prospectors around the world.
