Fair review of a great detector
Okay, I am surprised there are not more reviews on this machine. The one review I just read was way out of touch and a unfair approach to this wonderful detector.

First things first, the chatter. Everyone has heard about the T2 chatter. YES, it does talk to you and I will admit that I was very frustrated when I first used this machine, but I stuck with it and I am glad I did. I've been metal detecting for 15 years and have three detectors in my arsenal and they are the Minelab E-trac, Teknetics T2SE (LTD) and the Tesoro Tejon. I would NEVER sell my E-Trac or my T2SE NEVER!

The T2 is my blitz machine and it is so light you can swing it for hours and hours and never tire. Cheaply built? Please, I have mine through swamps, ravines, muddy fields, pastures, sloppy wet grass, etc. This machine can stand up to it all and it has, don't believe me then visit my Youtube page (wes-n-va) ans see for yourself. The recovery speed of this machine is awesome, the depth is hard to beat on any VLF machine you will ever purchase right now on the market. I have found targets as deep as 12".

My soil is very loamy with some heavy clay pockets and it has performs great. I have hunted heavy red soil with high minerals and it did suffer some in the depth category, I'd say by half easy but that is expected with a VLF machine so I will not punish this machine for that.

If you hunt around a Minelab you will get tons of feedback and chatter. If you hunt around power lines and other forms of EMI you will get chatter. If you crank it up to 99 sensitivity you will get chatter. So, be smart with it and hunt around 94-96 sens and you will be just fine and not suffer any lose of depth.

Super trashy areas? No problem just switch over to the 5" coil and glide right through it with ease. Does well in iron infested spots also. Set up is a breeze. Turn it on, set the sens to 96, +2 tones, pump the coil up and down a few times to ground balance and start hunting. YES, it is that easy. I usually set my discriminate to around 41 to block out the hot rocks and iron nails. If I am hunting a fairly clean area I will hunt in all metal mode.

Is the T2 a little noisy at times, yes it is. Will the T2 reward you in relics and coins? YES it will!! It is a winner and you will love it with time and regular use.

Its good for parks.
I recently purchased this Blisstool detector and have got out for few times now. So far what I have read is that no good for public parks or areas with a lot of trash, however I have gone to few local parks and some others in the Longview area and so far I have been successfully hunting with it.

On my first day out with it it took me little of time to set the ground balance correctly but once I tuned in it was just great. Down in Longview I found a silver earing about 7" down and on each target that I found I was rising the coil to see how dip from the coil will it see each target and I am impressed with the depth of this machine.

Each time that I have been able to use it's just little less hard to set the balance correctly and on the Manual mode it's just great to use it.
I have to said that If there are targets dipper than 12" inches this will get them with no problem at all. That same day I got a copper washer that was about 13" down and it sound loud and solid on each pass.

On my next trip to a different park in Vancouver I found a Nice 925 Italy silver pendent and few feet away I found the chain for it, the pendent was at 7" and the chain at 4".
So on my opinion it's a great detector, the only thing that I don't like is the fact that it's a single tone machine but the discrimination to nails it's great and compensates for the one tone future.
The discrimination is so good that it has a discrimination depth and it will discriminate correctly down to 10", more than 11" the discrimination is not so good but the tone will not be as good as with a non ferrous target.
