Machines like that they don't make anymore!

October 21, 2019
The cz remain the best! I own a cz7, a cz 20, and a cz 6 the latter remains the best as a depth of research, both on the beach and in the mountains! Easy to use and do not miss a target! Now they are difficult to find I cz6 and who has it keeps it tight! I also recommend it to beginners excellent machine

Fisher cz-6 quicksilver

January 16, 2019
Purchased mine over 20 years ago still one of the best ones for the money. Deadly on nickels. Soil conditions in Ramona CA. are quite bad even the silver is tarnished.

Bottom line: as good as the best

December 17, 2016
If you want to pay over 1000 dollars for a digital machine that requires the analytical expertise of a physics major, then go with the DFX, Etrac etc. If you want to spend 300 to 400 dollars for a good used dual frequency analog machine that is easy to master and hits good targets crazy deep, go with the CZ6(a).

I went through a Fisher F75 Ltd., Whites DFX, Whites MX5 and was not able to find gold in a beach area I detect regularly. Then came the CZ6. First time out to the same area that I had pounded with the other machines.... 14K gold mens ring with a solitaire 1/4 Carat diamond comes out of the ground in an area I had gone over dozens of times with other high end machines.

Also, I was pulling coins out like I had never hunted the area. The CZ6 is a pleasure to use and makes finding good targets easy. I will never sell mine.

Cz6 = bring a good shovel

October 16, 2015
I have a CZ5 and a CZ6A. The CZ6 is weatherproof, not waterproof. It's more like the new F11, F22, F44 series. Because of this it does not have an internal speaker. It requires you to wear headphones in order to hear it. Because of this it is lighter than my CZ5. The CZ6 model has a dongle to attach a headphone to it. Later models are called the CZ6A. They have a 1/4" headphone jack with a sealing ring.

Some of these are considered the best detectors ever made. It will certainly add to the number of nickels you find as it is a nickel finding beast. It has a analog needle to indicate what is being detected. It is very accurate in my experience. If you buy one of these you should also invest in a good shovel. You will be digging some deep holes.

Good detector

July 07, 2011
The Fisher CZ-6 really works good over a single frequency detector. I get both large(up to 4-8 inches depending on the soil) and good on shallow small targets with the 5KHz and 15Khz operating frequencies. A buddy has a Whites DFX and we have compared target responses on our machines with sort of similar results, although the DFX is a much more thorough and higher end detector which will go much deeper.

This is a good detector which will give you years of service and unless you are very serious about this hobby, the fisher will do a good job. If you want to go deeper then of course go with the higher end machine like a White's or Minelab. Good luck.

WHY SPEND GOOD MONEY FOR NO REASON

March 27, 2011
OK, where to start. First the Fisher CZ-6 really works exceptionally over ANY single frequency detector. I get both very deep large(up to 12-16 inches depending on the soil) and wonderful on shallow small targets with the 5KHz and 15Khz operating frequencies. A buddy has a Whites DFX and we have compared target responses on our machines with sort of similar results, though the CZ ID's solid targets at medium depths where his are sometimes questionable.

The funny, or should I say sad part is, he paid $1200 plus for his Whites DFX. I paid about 600. Do that math, then think what you would do with the cash difference. I enjoyed family outings myself. The savings has been grand and unit continues to find stuff where ever this CZ-6 goes

The best part is that it real easy to use and does not have problems with sun glare, needed covers, dust, or getting water splashed on it. The box is sealed. Though it is not submersible, I do not have to run and hide when it begins to rain.
