Got my Golden Sense when they first came out. It is deep on ancient targets
and able to snipe good targets out of trash. I am going to order the
smaller coil and go back into some trashy areas to try again. I use it for
general hunting on the beach, relics on land and for gold when I'm out
west. A bit bulky and cumbersome but worth it. None of the bells and
whistles, no screens none of that, just raw power.
I do wish it had a threshold I could set, at times in the desert I throw down a coin just to make sure its still on because of the silent search. This thing really shines on the beach. I set it to run as hot as possible and still remain stable. Have pulled quarters at 14 inches in dry hard packed sand.
Max Depth: 14 inches on US quarter

This is a really good detector. It doesn't have all the LCD screen crap,
but the few knobs are perfect. It does have an indicator on the handle for
ferrous and non ferrous material. As for depth, it does detect deep I got
about 9 inches on a 0.7 gram nugget. Went about 16-18 inches on a small
lead round ball, maybe .32 cal. The bigger coil can get heavy after a bit,
so I suggest ordering the smaller coil.
The rechargeable battery is good, holds a charge. Customer service is awesome, maybe the best I've had. My battery went down after about 3 months. I received a new one in about a week. All they wanted was the battery numbers on the label.
