My go to detector
Fisher sells this as a relic/nugget detector neither of which interest me. It does coins (old and new)very well and is also good on silver and gold jewelry. The essential positive traits of this high frequency machine is that I can run it at max gain all the time without EMI, without falsing and without chattering. The VDI is super reliable and the numbers are stable. FeTone and V-Break are awesome features. The detector is light and super easy to setup and use.
The bottom line for me is that I find more stuff with this detector than any other I have used. A few things worth mentioning that might be negatives to some: There are no real tone schemes. If you like to hunt in 3 or 4 tone mode with other detectors to cherry pick high conductors, forget that with the F19. In other words, sound subtleties is not its forte, visual info is. It's super sensitive to small items (both high and low conductors). It sweats the small stuff big time (tiny pieces of foil, tiny washers, tiny buttons at depth). This can be good or bad depending on what you are trying to find. This for me was the most dramatic difference between it and the low freq machines. It's not meant to replace the lower frequency machines. I just happen to love mine and think it complements an F5 or Delta, Gamma, Omega beautifully.
It's not the end all in depth. It's decent in that department. Don't be fooled by the outrageous numbers some other reviewers mentioned. You most certainly won't hit a US quarter at 16 inches in discrim mode. I doubt it would even peep in all metal. If you want utmost depth, look at the F70, T2 or latest F75 with boost modes instead.

Sleeper unit??
All I know is that I could not be happier with the F19... Love the backlight as well... The ease of use, how balanced it is, the V-Break, the Tones, Disc, etc etc... For my needs... Pretty darn good and it earned itself a place in the stable of units I will not be selling. Just a lot of fun - heck even targets at depth the ID remained pretty solid! Being a jewelry hunter, I don't rely on target ID... But it is fun to have it and dig up things and see how or whether the machine was right or not... More often than not, this one is on the money. Is it perfect? Are any of them? Lol - Suits my needs to a T. One of my favorites, period. Have not tried it on the beach though so can't speak for that aspect.
Happy hunting!

F19 the great unmasker
With just two tones, you have to do some screen watching, but this detector is the best detector I have ever used for locking on to targets. When over a coin or button, the numbers stay perfectly consistent. It is unbelievable how tight the numbers stay. If you are a coin hunter, you will appreciate this trait. Also, this detector has some built in settings that are trend setting. For instance, the volume can be set to lower iron grunts and while keeping good targets loud. This is extremely easy on the ears if you like to hunt with little or no discrimination.
I have not found the F19 to be a "deep seeker", but I have found it accuracy and recovery speed to more than make up for the depth. It is not bad in the depth department, but if you are expecting 10 inch deep coins, you might be disappointed. I can find coins around 8 inches deep with the stock 5x10 coil.
One final note, if you find a rusty nail, piece of foil or slaw first, recheck the plug because more times than naught, there is something good hiding with the junk.
