Fisher f22 good value for the money
September 18, 2017
I am new to the hobby, but I would say this machine is a good value for the
price. I have been out at local parks with it and it hits good targets
consistently. I'm pulling out clad coins at 6, 8, and 10 inches. It is
light weight and the controls are easy to see and use. The only thing I'm
concerned about is getting it wet. Fisher's advertisements say the coil is
weatherproof and housing is not. I always carry plastic bag just in case.
Good luck, and happy hunting!

Great entry level detector
April 20, 2016
Its light...... WEATHERPROOF and easy on batteries. I've had one for 5
weeks now and it really does the job down to 8 to 9 inches on smaller
stuff. My first big find was a stolen dvd player at 3 feet! I've been
detecting in medium rain for a few hours without any water problems. The
display jumps around a lot and it takes some time to learn what to
reject/accept. If you rely on the display numbers alone you've missed the
point really. The sound scheme, with iron reject is thought out. Its
terrible identifying euro/brit coins in 'COIN' mode.
My favourite
modes are 'Artifact' and 'Custom'. In custom mode it uses a Voltage
Controlled Oscillator like older detectors and extra tone...S......Say for
iron can be added. Great value and sturdy. The screen is easy scratchible
though. My only regret......... I shoulda saved up for the F44, with ground
balance features. A great detector.

Great service
March 29, 2016
I got my detector back with great service. And extremely fast. From the
states to Australian. I can't not complain with that. I'm back detecting
and again. It's does the job. Excellent discrimination. Happy with the
machine so far. Loves the Australian coins and silver. Will pick up all
metal including gold. But for high trash areas it will eat up coins and
silver and every thing else will not pick up. Awesome.. Just perfect. Will
look at a double D coil next. Look forward to trying the all metal mode.
And go and do a bit of gold hunting with the big boys. Will look at a
higher end gold fisher detector that's built more for gold, this machine.
It will do the job.

Weatherproof
March 05, 2016
I have had my Fisher F22 for around two weeks. Although it's my first
detector I have found Australia coins and two silver rings. I've found out
that coins and silver it will find. But in trashy areas you will not find
gold as it ties in with to many others metals including aluminium. But the
machine is not weatherproof. A passing cloud with a small shower stopped it
in its tracks. It went mad then out. It only got about two dozen spots of
rain on its screen and that was it. It died, shocked me really bad, cost me
$400 just for a peace of Mind weatherproof. And did not work. I've seen
guys on YouTube hosing them down. And Fisher sales man saying. Dont worry.
It's built for all weather. Just don't put it under water, ???? Don't know.
I thought if you buy the best and American made you would not have drams
like this.
My concern is. Will the 5 year warranty help. Or will
there be a excuse. So I guess it will be two weeks posted too the states,
months waiting to get fixed and weeks to get it back buy postage. Who
knows. But will post again to tell you the news on how the warranty goes.

Fisher f22
February 16, 2016
Just got my new Fisher F22. Fantastic machine. It goes as deep as you would
aspect and more. Thinking I would have some basic machine turned out to
work wounders. Its easy to use and finds the target's with ease. I have
seen reviews and knew what I was in for. But what the hell. I must have a
defect machine as it goes deeper then I thought. 12incs so far and still
getting to use it. This was on a Australian 10cent. Very Happy and cheap.
Best price range out there and weatherproof. I can find all metals of
simply pick what I want to find. Awesome.

Out of box
July 29, 2015
Well first thing is, I notice the 4 pin coil screw with plastic cover not
very sturdy. Already have to find a way to unscrew metal part as plastic
part just keeps spinning. Sound coming from detector sounds kinda tinny
compared to the F2. Coil looks allot smaller than I thought it was. Will
work well in junk area's I suspect. That is it as far as from the box goes.
Will give another review when I take it for a spin this weekend..
