Prefer over garrett.

Got this in a package deal knowing nothing of the company beforehand. Very
well built. Definitely designed to go in the water, the battery cap and
button top slides in perfectly and has thick hard seal. I have dropped/
launched this thing and it still works. I've dropped a few garretts and had
them break completely or just misfire once and awhile. You can also set it
to just vibrate or just make a noise. Can even turn the light on and off.
Would recommend.

Nokta waterproof pointer
January 08, 2016
Wow......The family owned company of Nokta/Makro really improved the Makro
pointer in this new Nokta pointer. First lets look to the positives which
are many.
Pro's
-Waterproof to 3 feet
-10 sensitivity settings
-LED built in flashlight
-Works off a simple 9 volt battery
-Can be used audible, audible/vibration, or vibration only -Comes in hi-viz orange
-Replaceable probe covers
-Inactivity alarm for location
Con's -If any it would be the speaker hole in the operation controls of the unit.
If you have you hand cupped over the end it is hard to hear the audible if wearing headphones. The sensitivity settings being more numerous than it's brother company of Makro is great. It really allows one to dial in the pointer to get a close approximation of distance from the probe once you learn those distances for the setting you set it to. The real big plus to a unit like this is once you get it dirty, being waterproof, it can be cleaned very easily by running it under a spigot or faucet. The system is very well thought out and quite honestly if anyone ever tries one of these out will more than likely never use another brand. I am not sure much more could be improved on other than maybe some little cosmetic things but these aren't really worth squabbling over.
