Equinox 600
December 22, 2020
I just recently acquired a Minelab Equinox 600 and I bought the 6 inch coil
and the 12x15 coil. I have had a Fisher 1265x, Fisher ID edge, a White’s
Liberty Di, a lot of old school detectors the newest being this Equinox and
a Fisher F4.
The 6 inch coil is excellent at learning this detector. It separates great the trash from the good stuff. The equinox has excellent depth with the 6 inch coil a YouTube video had it hit a penny in a test at 9 inches deep. I haven’t hit anything that deep with the 6” coil.
I found some wheaties in my own hard hit yard. The equinox is highly recommended I personally am impressed with the features Bluetooth headphones WiFi, multi frequency, waterproof it’s great. I bought this one because of Minelab experience with the xterra 305 and it did not disappoint.

Very good machine.

Been using the Equinox 600 2 years now and by far my best detector. Put the
6 inch round coil on and it detects everything. I'm not a tech guy and I
don't do much by way of fine tuning. I just turn on and go. Been very
happy. Go out almost everyday, beach, lake, parks, schools, you name it,
this detector does it.
Super light with the 6 inch coil and that helps reduce arm and back strain. Not for everyone but I love mine.

Nox 600
June 06, 2020
The Nox 600 is a very capable machine. It is light weight and extremely
sensitive in any environment. I use it predominately at the beach, both in
the sand and surf. It work great in black sand, and is quite deep. I use
beach 1, two tones, recovery speed 3, and in multi-frequency. I use the
standard 10 inch coil. I use a regular pair of wireless bluetooth earphones
that makes swinging unencumbered as you search, and not have sweaty
headphones on hot days is a plus.
I've had my Nox for over two years and I thought I'd have issues with the charging port being exposed to the elements, but a rubber eraser now and then will take care of any build up that might occur. Like most machines, you get out of it what you put into it. You still have to get to know the machine.
