digitaltim in CT, USA -I've had a couple Wizards, the Tinytec, Automax, and the Treasuremate. I now have the Vibraprobe 560 and I'm keeping it. I'd say the Wizard is a best buy at around $15. Other than the Treasuremate, all these pinpointers work the same /equally well. The treasure mate was a little more complicated to me (too sensitive). The Tinytec - An inch of detection depth is all I'm looking for when the target isn't in the hole. The led light came in handy once when my flashlight burned out and I had to cross a waterfall via boulders in pitch dark. A couple controls to mess with, just hold it to the ground and turn the dial to calibrate. Easy enough.
Its still small enough to keep in your pocket, but unfortunately it doesn't come with a holder. I dropped it once and had to retrace my steps for 30mins to find it.
Like any unsealed plastic housing with dials / switches. Its going to get dirt inside of it.
If you're looking to spend a little more for quailty ~$40, but don't need a waterproof unit, this is nice.
