first time out with the terra x-30 told my daughter to turn on the detector while i tied my shoelace. 2 seconds later she was digging up a 2 pound coin!!!! so thats 2 quid off the cost of the detector already.

Minelab has another winner!
Ron Lambert in Maine,USA. -
I currently own four detectors but this one is by far the best, easy to use,a large display for poor eyesight, easy well thought out manual, between the three tone ID and the number ID i'm digging much less trash. The pinpointing feature is a dream come true! In this soil i've found quarters at 7 inches, not bad, better then my other top brand machines.Minelabs customer service and Sandy are top notch and a very caring team i found out. Buy this you will love it!

X-Terra 30

Simple to use, yet powerful, the X-Terra 30 is in a class by itself. A real solid performer. The pinpointing mode is especially noteworthy. My only criticism would be the rubber door covering the headphone jack. But that's nit-picky stuff. All in all, the best $400 I've ever spent on a detector.

Good Job Minelab
Jeff / Tennessee in USA -
Reminds me of a Whites Classic ID in general..
But add 12 notch segments, 3 tones, depth meter and a battery indicator.. Overall impression; good target separation, and the ID numbers lock well on coins.. I would prefer a little better separation in the nickel / pulltab range, but you can't win them all... Just for reference; air test on a quarter; solid at 9" and whisper between 10 and 11"..
Happy Hunting, Jeff
