		I love it

I have had my minelab xterra 705 for about 4 months and just love it. I was
using a Bounty hunter landstar before that and that machine did a good job
for the $$$, but as I got more into the hobby I wanted a machine that was
simple to use with good depth and dependable. I payed about $800(Canadian)
for it and it was worth it.Learning the machine was not bad at all and it is spot on with depth and pinpointing. I have found all sorts of things with it from rings to old coins and much more.
It is light weight and battery life is very good, you can also get 6 or 7 after market coils, so you can upgrade it to your preference. The control box is weather resistant but I did invest in the enviromental cover for about $15. I have used a few detectors like whites dfx and xlt and they worked great too but they are a few hundred dollars more so if you are serious about detecting or just starting out the xterra 705 is an all around GREAT machine.
