More is less...Fisher needs to address the one
BIG problem the CZ70 has and that is the limited range of sensitivity
adjustment that is obtainable due to
the digital control. I don;t know what other changes, if any, were made in the digital CZ's vs the analog CZ5 but the difference in performance is HUGE when you are at a site that requires tweaking the sensitivity control for conditions.
Fisher left an analog knob on it for the critical ground balance adjustment but must have thought that no one would notice the drop off in performance due loss of adjustability in the critical range neccessary for best performance using the disc mode.
If you are a serious coin hunter the analog CZ5 or the new CZ3d are your only choices.
The CZ70 must have been pushed thru by marketing types "we gotta have this to compete" rather than engineers.

I have used mostly all of the CZ's. Out of all of
them I still have one left that I will never part with and it is the cz5. I
like the analog meter a lot better its
faster and built like a tank as Dan from PA would say. All of the cz's are
excellent for depth its just a
matter of which you prefer analog or digital. Overall Rating

I have owned the CZ70 pro for about 4 months
now and love it. Its easy to operate and discriminates very well. The depth
is average for a CZ, which in
Florida is about 10-12". I think everyone should have at least one CZ70.
Very happy with mine
