deep machine
jon in lansing mi -My cz5 is a great deep machine. I have found myself elbow deep in a hole a few times. That is with my 12" coil of course, but the 8" will pick out a dime at 8 inches like ringing a bell. This machine is not heavy lol sorry but the nails are a slight problem. You will learn how to sweep test for them in no time though and should be digging much less after some practice.

I have found several barber dimes at 12-14 inches deep. I do recommend good headphones with this awesome detector.

Great overall detector!!
Jason in Newfoundland -For those of you who find..that this detector loves rusty nails dont know your machine..If you think it is a nail sweep from different angles..and if it disappears then it is a nail. This technique helps. A little heavy but built like a tank but for me it has been the best detector I have ever had.

Holy nails !
Jon in MI USA -This is a great deep machine. I have been surprised a few times with such small objects found at 7-8 inches. Not really heavy like others claim. The nails though my goodness, I wish there was a market for rusty old nails I would be rich! The disc is good and other than the nails is spot on most of the time. The CZ 5 holds its own against much newer costlier MDs.

This is a good detector as far as I can see. The only thing I do not like is it is just to dang heavy. To swing this detector more than 15 minutes you would have to be the governor of california. Not kidding.

rwc in tx. -To be totally hoest it is a real deep detector that just loves nails. Yes it is a good nickle finder, but it is also a good nail finder. Buy one and you will see too.

cwreid in OK. -I have owned a garrets 2500, Garrett 1500, Whites XLT, Whites MXT(which is a very good machine), Tesoro deleon, and of all of these detectors I like the cz-5 the best for all around depth and use. I sold all my other detectors and have kept this one. It was deeper than my whites MXT. I hunt with no discrimination and let the detector tell me when it is iron in the ground. I have not tried the new digital cz's, so I cannot tell you about them. It is a very good machine and a deep one. I know it will go down 3 feet on a large object, say 10 inches on a freshly burried item. It took me a long time to write this, because I know everyone will want one, but if a new comer reads this I want him to know the truth. The fisher cz-5 is a no mistake machine, you will never regret it, I promise.

Warwick Wolf in Warwick-- England -Had my CZ5 for 10 years now, luv it to bits, great depth super sensitive to small hammered and roman coins. Knocks spots off my old C-scope. Looking to get 12.5 sunray coil in near future should be the mutts nutts

Michael Asbach in olympia,Washington -I have used compass, whites, garretts,and fisher...so far the cz-5 is the best..it will give you faint too strong audio signals, which lets you tell just by sound when the target is deeper, like older coins...strong blasting signals are usually the more modern coins...this detector does it all..beach.relic. and coins...I have used it in all metal mode and have found bb's in the sand...it is real sensitive
